Brandy Sonderland is our first scholarship recipient graduating from River View High School in Finley. During high school, she was on the volleyball, basketball and softball teams all 4 years, serving as captain in all three sports and earning 11 varsity letters. She was twice elected the SCAC league volleyball MVP as well as being a 2-time All-State Athlete.
Brandy has been involved in a variety of school activities including Student Government, Key Club, Students Against Drunk Driving, Knowledge Bowl and Honor Society.
Outside of the classroom, Brandy has spent time as an elementary school tutor and participated in community events such as the MS Walk and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
Brandy’s desire to attend college motivated her to include many advanced placement level classes in her schedule .and in recognition of her 4.0 GPA has been selected to be class valedictorian.
Brandy plans to attend Spokane Falls Community College where she will play volleyball and softball then transfer to a 4-year university to continue her pursuit of a career in physical therapy.
