Brett Konzek is our 2012 male recipient. Brett has been a dedicated student/athlete at Southridge High and has excelled in both the classroom and on the field competing in soccer and cross-country. The varsity soccer coach describes Bret as, ‘without question, one of the most outstanding student/athletes I have coached here at Southridge.’ Albeit talented, Bret attributes his success to his desire to excel in any activity or project set before him. He has learned the importance of being organized and disciplined, and developed a sincerity to help others succeed as well. The multiple skills Bret has learned have allowed him to contribute and have a positive impact in other areas as well, such as volunteering in local projects and providing leadership in other clubs and church activities.
Brett is attending Gonzaga University with plans to pursue a degree/doctorate in the medical field.
