2009 Male Recipient – Seth Shelton

Seth Shelton will graduate from Columbia High School in Burbank where he played football, basketball and competed in track & field  –  serving as captain in all three sports and earning 10 letters during his high school career.

In addition to sports, Seth has been active in student leadership as well.  He is currently the ASB President and has previously held the offices of Vice President and Commissioner.

Throughout his high school years, Seth has spent countless hours with his 4-H group including two terms as president . He’s also been active in Washington State Rodeo Association and is a 4-year member of the Fresh Trash Music Ensemble.

Seth has spent a great deal of his time in community service and can often be found helping out at food drives. He’s been involved with Volunteer Chore Service and has spent the past 4 years serving at the Boys and Girls Club.  Seth credits that particular experience as the main influence for his passion for making a difference in the lives of kids.

In addition to his high school activities, Seth participated in Running Start program through CBC. He’s looking forward to finishing up his AA degree by the end of this summer then attending WSU in the fall.
