2018 Female Recipient – Kahlea Sullivan

Kahlea Sullivan will graduate from Kamiakin High School where she competed in soccer and tennis. She played soccer all four years – culminating her high school career with the team completing a 20-1 season and finishing 3rd at State. As Team Captain, Kahlea was heralded as a true team leader, not only in her play, but in her ability to see the big picture and by communicating quality information and direction to her teammates while on the field.

During high school, Kahlea served as Class Vice President for three years and as Delegate for the other. She also served as a Resident Counselor for the Cascade Middle School Leadership Camp. Kahlea participated in Kamiakin’s Buddy Club and also served as a mentor and Crew Leader in the Links program, a program that helps incoming Freshman navigate and feel comfortable in the new surroundings that high school presents.

Kahlea’s hard work ethic and general character have readily drawn the respect and admiration of her peers, teachers and coaches. One reference said – “She has always displayed great character, even in the face of adversity. Countless times I have held her up as an example to my own daughters as someone to aspire to be like.”
